Education Refurbishment and Fit-Out Works
B2 Projects consistently provide invaluable support to our client Taylor and Fraser in realising their higher education projects.
Works include the extensive refurbishment of Hermit's Croft for the University of Edinburgh. Our adept multi-trade team seamlessly transformed six ground floor flats into a newly configured common room space for students. Valued at £140k, the project included extensive soft strip and demolition works, along with temporary design measures ensuring the structural safety of the six floors above. The entire undertaking was successfully delivered within a 10-week programme.
Furthermore, we played a key role in the refurbishment of Florentine House for the University of Glasgow. Situated in the heart of Glasgow and dating back to 1828, this listed building underwent an extensive office refurbishment, in which we provided specialised joinery, plastering, and decoration packages. The refurbishment delivered modern, agile working spaces while preserving the property's period features. The reconfiguration of workspaces enhanced functionality and aesthetics, resulting in a transformative project delivered within 8 weeks, totaling £160k.
